The German sculptor Manfred Emmenegger-Kanzler works mainly with ceramics, but also with terracotta, concrete or steel. Through cuts, curvatures and folds, his sculptures playfully deal with mathematical forms. In his ceramic sculptures, the artist deals with the abstract and the constructive. From the formlessness of the raw material clay, he creates elementary bodies such as gates, towers, space signs and labyrinths, which often dynamically intertwine in space. In this way he deals with general principles such as statics and movement. Since 1988 the artist has been represented at numerous solo exhibitions as well as at various exhibitions in Germany and abroad. Furthermore he realizes projects in public space.
