Peter Staechelin is a painter of concrete art. He can be described as the inventor of the triad of colours in surfaces. A difficult task in concrete-constructive art, since a coherent picture solution has to be found. His works always move between dynamics and standstill in order to achieve a harmonious effect. He was successful and present all over Europe, so he had a total of 50 solo exhibitions in 15 European countries from 1958. He was represented 300 times in group exhibitions. In addition to his own successful artistic work, he was also a professor at the College of Education in Freiburg.
